Portrait Pop-Up: Terms & Conditions
Booking & payment
Sessions are $400 (includes GST).
A $150 deposit is payable at the time of booking and confirms your slot. The deposit is processed securely through Stripe.
The $250 balance is payable on the day, by PayID or card. There is no surcharge on either. The balance is due before your session begins.
Cancellations & changes
Plans change, and the policy below reflects that this is a single-day event with a limited number of slots. Only the deposit is ever at risk. The balance is payable only if your session goes ahead.
More than 7 days before the shoot: deposit refunded in full, or transferred to the next Portrait Pop-Up.
48 hours to 7 days before: deposit held as a credit toward the next Portrait Pop-Up.
Less than 48 hours before, or no-show: deposit is forfeited, as the slot cannot be refilled at short notice. Credit may be offered at my discretion.
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within five business days.
If you need to reschedule, get in touch as early as you can. There is usually a waitlist, and the earlier I know, the more likely I can fill your slot and be flexible with you.
Confirming the day
The Pop-Up runs with a minimum of six sessions booked. I will confirm the day no later than 7 days before the date.
If the minimum isn't reached, you will be offered your choice of first pick of times on the next date, or a full refund of your deposit.
If I need to cancel
If I cancel or move the date for any reason, you will be offered your choice of a full refund of your deposit, or first pick of times on the rescheduled date. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Late arrival
Sessions run back to back. Arriving late will shorten your session rather than delay the ones after it. Sessions cannot run over.
The studio setup
Two lit setups are available, grey and white, and you're welcome to use both within your session. Lighting is set before the first session of the day and cannot be changed for individual bookings. Framing is flexible, from full length to a tight headshot.
Your images
After your session I'll send through a proof sheet of 20 to 30 images. You then select 2 for final retouching.
Proofs are sent within 7 days of the shoot. Retouched files are delivered within 10 business days of receiving your selections.
Additional retouched files are $75 each and can be ordered at any time while your images are on file.
Image storage
Images are kept on file for three months from the date of your shoot. After that, a $10 retrieval fee applies per shoot. Please download and back up your files when you receive them.
Copyright & usage
I retain copyright in all images, as is standard in photography.
You are granted an unlimited, ongoing licence to use your retouched images for personal and professional purposes, including casting profiles, agency submissions, social media, press and your own website. No additional fee, no expiry.
If your images are to be used by a third party in paid advertising or a commercial campaign, please get in touch first so we can arrange the appropriate licence.
Portfolio use
I may use images from your session in my portfolio, on social media and in client presentations. If you'd prefer I didn't, just let me know at any time, before or after the shoot, and I'll leave your images out. No explanation needed.
Privacy
The details you provide at booking are used only to manage your session and deliver your images. They are not shared with anyone other than the hair and makeup artist where you have requested those services.
